The production of a promising alternative energy source will be developed in Transcarpathia (Announcement)
On Tuesday, November 18th, at 11.45, in the premises of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration (conference room), there will be a press conference of organizers and participants of the innovative project concerning one of the most promising alternative energy sources for Ukraine "Swedish energy willow."
Transcarpathia adopts the Sweden's 30 years of experience of growing technology, use and logistics of industrial production of energy willow biomass. The energy willow plantations have been founded in the region, experts are considering energy willow biomass as a promising and effective renewable source of heat and electricity.
At the press conference, Ukrainian and Swedish experts will tell more about the promising type of alternative fuel.
Approximately 50-60% of energy consumption in Ukraine is used to provide heating for public and organizations. The vast majority of this energy is used in the form of natural gas. Over recent decades, coal, oil, electricity and gas heating system have been replacing each other in 10-20 year cycles. Every time. the transition to a particular heating system took place because of rising fuel prices. Now it is the time when we need to switch to alternative solid fuel heating systems.
