Recreational tourism fair, which was held on November 5-6 in Lviv Palace of Arts, was one of the most interesting tourist events in the city of Lviv. The purpose of the fair is the promotion of natural and cultural potential of the Ukrainian-Polish border area, cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian tourism industries.
Transcarpathian, Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions of Ukraine were presented at the fair by 30 exhibitors, and the Podkarpackie Voivodeship of Poland – by 15.
The National Park "Synevyr" also presented its historical, cultural and natural tourism resources at the fair. Posters with beech woods, informational brochures about the Synevyr Lake, the Rehabilitation center for brown bears, Museum of timber industry, scientific and environmental education activities of the park – all these materials informed visitors about the rich tourism potential of the park. Visitors could also read the eco-educational magazine "Syniy Vyr" which informs in detail about the work of the environmental institution.
Visitors also listened to the information about the village of ten museums Kolochava, which is located within the National Park. In recent years, the village has been steadily gaining the top spot on the tourist map of Transcarpathia, and its popularity among tourists is growing exponentially.
According to the organizers, there are many attractive tourist sites at the Ukrainian-Polish border due to natural and climatic conditions, but the existing historical, cultural and natural resources of the region are underused for tourism purposes. Therefore, one way of developing tourism in the region is to promote interesting tourism products. The growing interest in the tourism industry will contribute to a better and fuller use of the said potential. This will increase the income of tourism business and thereby contribute to the development of the whole industry in the territory covered by the project.
