The Chairman of the Regional Council awarded a pediatric surgeon from Hungary Kish Akosha with a diploma
With such a petition, the chief physician of the regional children's hospital, a deputy of the regional council of several convocations Yelizaveta Birov addressed the Regional Council Chairman Volodymyr Chubirko. Since 2006, Yelizaveta Birov said, professionals from Hungary have been coming to our hospital twice a year to provide consulting assistance in surgical interventions for children. One of them is the leading pediatric surgeon Kish Akosha, who has made the most trips to Transcarpathia.
With his personal involvement, over the years, over 250 surgeries for children have been done in Transcarpathia for very complex congenital malformations of maxillo-facial region of the skull, chest, spine, abdomen and etc. In addition, many affected children have received advice and recommendations for follow-up in accordance with European standards of treatment.
On Wednesday, there was the meeting of the Hungarian doctor Akosha Kish with the Chairman of the Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko. The event was also attended by the chief physician of the regional children's hospital Yelizaveta Birov, the Head of the Health Care Department of the RSA Vasyl Scryp, the manager of the executive office of the regional council Mykhailo Popovich, the Consul General Consulate of Hungary in Uzhgorod Janos Vishki.
First of all, Volodymyr Chubirko thanked the doctor for his inspired work that saved lives of Transcarpathian kids.
"You help our medics to bring health care sector closer to European standards. Exchange of experience makes it possible to accelerate this movement. This is an example of how we can do a lot of noble deeds at the level of contacts between doctors" - the chairman of the council said.
Also Volodymyr Chubriko gave Akosha Kish a diploma of the Regional Council and a valuable gift - a watch.
Volodymyr Chubirko also noted that cooperation may be extended if there is a will of the Hungarian party. Especially, since we need the experience of Western partners in the reform of the healthcare industry.
The chief physician of the regional children's hospital Yelizaveta Birov noted that cooperation with Hungarian partners was organized at a high level, and she was sure that it would continue. Thus, on their own initiative and with the support of the hospital administration, surgeons, orthopedists and anesthesiologists of the institution took internship in university hospitals of Budapest, Pécs and Miskolc.
