State Protection Service officers prevented a thief from stealing cigarettes from a supermarket

In a supermarket in Uzhgorod, an unemployed young man decided to get some free cigarettes. Walking around the store, looking at the goods on the shelves, the guy picked up a carton of cigarettes. But instead of a shopping cart, he hid it underneath his clothes.

As if nothing happened, the man headed to the door, and obviously was very surprised to meet officers of the State Protection Service there.

Around 19.23, the police received an alarm signal from the facility located on Kapuschanska street - this is where the guy intented to get hold of free cigarettes. But while the offender was heading to the exit - police officers were already riding to the scene.

The 22-year-old man was detained and taken to the Uzhgorod city police department - for a detailed clarification of the circumstances of the incident and taking an appropriate decision.
