Power outage in Transcarpathia may occur due to emergency at Zaporizhzhya NPP

"Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC warns that due to an emergency situation at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, on December 1, schedules of electricity limitation are introduced in Ukraine.

The "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC informs consumers that all power companies in Ukraine have received the following orders of the SE NPC "Ukrenergo": "Due to the emergency shutdown at 1000 MW Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant and the emergence of uncoverable power deficit, on Monday 01.12.14, at 7:00, in order to preserve the integrity of the unified energy system of Ukraine, schedules of limitations on power and energy will be introduced in full."

In this regard, SE NPC "Ukrenergo" has instructed all regional power distribution companies to strictly comply with the limits of electrical power consumption and immediately bring this information to consumers.

Given all the above, the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC asks consumers not to panic and to understand possible outages, because it’s not the company’s whim, but a necessity caused by emergency in the power system of Ukraine.

The management of the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC also asks consumers to limit their electricity consumption in order to reduce the load on the unified energy system of Ukraine.
