Poroshenko said he wanted to end the war

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said he wanted to end the war in the east. He wrote that on Twitter on the occasion of the anniversary of the end of World War II - the Hromadske informed.

"Today, no one in Europe celebrates "Day of Victory", they only talk about losses. Indeed, there are no winners or losers in the war - there are only those who survived. And on both sides. So I want to end the war. Not to give anyone a chance to start the Third World madness. The two world wars are enough for mankind to realize the benefits of peaceful competition", - he wrote in FB.
The President said that he believes in a peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donbas.
