Maxim Shatskykh: "Frankly, it is nice to make history"
Forward of Uzhgorod "Goverla" Maxim Shatskykh made it clear that he was easy about his newly set record of scoring in the championship of Ukraine.
"I did not feel pressure because of approaching of the record . Sooner or later, it would have happened anyway. It's not that I am nearing the end of my career and I have only one or two matches left. Now the history has been rewritten with a pen or a pencil, and we move on. We do - others take notes.
Frankly, it is nice to make history. Perhaps, I have achieved something in the football world. But nothing has really changed. I must score in every game, pass in every game. I does not work every time, but I should strive to do so.
Do I think anyone will beat the set record? There are enough scorers in Ukrainian football. It may happen. And it will definitely happen. Time will tell. I will be happy to see that. That does not mean that I am afraid that someone will take away my accomplishments" - the official website of the Ukrainian Premier League quoted Shatskykh.
