In Transcarpathia, the Security Service of Ukraine notified the founder of a local newspaper of being suspected for calls for separatism
In Transcarpathian region, investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine delivered notice of suspicion to the founder and chief editor of the local newspaper "Raboche-Krestyanskaya Pravda" which contained signs of incitement of ethnic hatred, encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.
In particular, in one of the issues of this newspaper, there were propaganda materials calling to oppose the central government of Ukraine and to support the separatist sentiment in the east.
According to experts, the materials published in the newspaper create a negative image of Ukraine, humiliate the national honor and dignity of Ukrainians and individual representatives of minorities, promote national enmity and hatred.
The circulation of the newspaper was seized as evidence in the criminal proceeding initiated under part 2 of Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, combined with inciting ethnic or religious hatred) and Part 1 of Art. 161 (violation of equality of citizens based of their race, nationality, religious beliefs) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The Security Service of Ukraine together with the prosecutors initiate cancellation of the registration of this newspaper.
