A resident of Irshava district, who stabbed her husband faces up to 10 years of imprisonment

The other day in the village of Zahattya in Irshava district, a quarrel between a husband and a wife ended tragically - the husband, who had been stabbed in the leg by his 43-year-old wife, died in the emergency department of Irshava District Hospital due to a significant blood loss.

This incident was registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations as a criminal offense under Art. 121, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (grievous bodily harm that resulted in death of the victim - punishable by imprisonment for a term of seven to ten years).

According to the  prosecutor in this criminal proceeding, Mykhailo Kosyuk: "The woman was notified of being suspected of having committed an offense under Part 2 of Art. 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. At the moment, the issue of pre-trial restraint is being decided."
