V. Shchadey is in satisfactory condition - the chief doctor of the Central City Hospital
According to the chief doctor of Uzhgorod central city hospital Ivan Kurakh, yesterday in the evening, at 21.04, Victor Shchadey, the Secretary of the City Council called him and said that he had been "stabbed with some sharp object at the waist." In two minutes, an ambulance transported the victim to the emergency room of the hospital where he was examined (X-ray and ultrasound) for damages to internal organs.
In the operating room, they provided medical care to the victim: stopped the bleeding, treated the wound. Diagnosis: penetrating stab wound to the retroperitoneal space of the left lumbar area. The depth of the wound is about 8 cm, the skin incision width is 1.5-2 cm Doctors claim that the stab was made professionally, with a very sharp object (probably a knife) which penetrated through a coat, a thick jacket and a shirt... And only by happy coincidence, the internal organs were not damaged.
According to doctors, in the morning of 05.03.2014, health condition of Victor Shchadey was satisfactory. In the morning, repeated ultrasound examination was performed, which showed swelling of the retroperitoneal space. Now Victor Shchadey is in the surgical department of central city hospital - the press center of the Health Care Department in Transcarpathian region reported.
