On the way to Paris, two Armenians “visited” border guards

As part of measures to strengthen countering illegal migration, Chop border guards detained two people from the Caucasus region.

Two men born in 1957 and 1981 attempted to illegally, bypassing checkpoints, get to Slovakia. However, 400 meters from the Ukrainian-Slovak, they were detained by officers of the department "Uzhgorod". At the site of detention, unknown men said that they were from Armenia, but had no IDs.

In the course of verification measures, border guards found out that the detainees had legally come to Ukraine. But, as the men themselves reported, our country had only transit status for them as their destination was France.

The offenders were taken to the station for identification, establishment of the circumstances of the offense and drafting administrative and procedural documents. Their further fate and responsibility under the law will be determined by the court.
