Today, March 20, community activists from several districts gathered near the building of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration and discussed with the head of the region the proposed candidates for heads of district state administrations. Among the delegates from the public, there were representatives of Tyachiv, Khust, Rakhiv, Vynogradiv, Mizhhirya, Volovets districts. Activists of Uzhgorod Euromaidan also supported visitors.
After a brief meeting with delegates from districts in his office, Valeriy Lunchenko came out on Narodna Square to the people and talked to them, – the press-center of the RSA informed.
The head of the region said he was satisfied with the activity of citizens and welcomed constructive suggestions. So, as of now, they have reached agreements in several districts of the region: Rakhiv, where the community agreed on the nomination of Ivan Surmachevsky; Beregovo – they support Istvan Petrushka there, Mizhhirya – Andriy Sheketa; Irshava district most likely will be headed by Vladislav Romanets, as Vyacheslav Svychkar withdrew his candidacy in his favour.
The question of the appointment of the head of Tyachiv district administration remains controversial, because two candidates – Petro Holubka and Vasyl Meysarosh – can not agree. Valeriy Lunchenko encouraged them both to sit at the negotiating table, find the support of the community and determine who is more worthy to take responsibility for the district.
The candidacy for the head of Vynogradiv district caused loud discussions and debates among the participants. Activists do not want to see the representative of the former ruling party on this position, therefore they oppose to Mykhailo Cocis. However, his rival, the representative of the "Front of Changes" Vitaliy Lyubka is hesitating to accept the position, so the question remains open.
Valeriy Lunchenko urged citizens not to delay the approval of decisions on candidates, because the economic situation is difficult and districts must not be left without managers for a long time. Therefore, at the latest on Monday, the final names of the heads of DSAs must be announced. If there is no agreement between community members and candidates, the head of the RSA will make decision himself.
"Believe me, we can not find a candidate that would suit absolutely everyone. It should be understood that the direct responsibility for the candidate to be agreed, and for the region in general is personally on the head of the regional administration," – Valeriy Lunchenko said.
