An Uzhgorod resident cut a young man because of a girl

Uzhgorod police opened against a 23-year-old young man, who stabbed a 25-year-old Uzhgorod resident in the chest, the criminal proceedings over the fact of attempted murder.

Yesterday, around 5 o'clock in the morning, a doctor of the Central clinical hospital of Uzhgorod reported to Uzhgorod city police that a 25-year-old resident of the city had turned to them for medical help. During the medical examination, he was diagnosed with an injury in the form of a stab-incised wound of the chest surface.

As it turned out, he received these injuries from a 23-year-old resident of Uzhgorod in one of the entertainment venues of Uzhgorod. There, a verbal dispute arose between the men which escalated into fight. The reason was the brazen advances of the offender to the victim's girl friend. The young men decided to continue showdown on the street. During the fight on the street, the offender took out of his car "Mercedes - Benz" an object similar to a knife and struck the victim once in the chest.

Realizing what he had done, the offender got to his car and fled the scene, but not far away... Soon, he was detained by Uzhgorod city police. He confessed to the crime.

Currently, the victim is hospitalized in Uzhgorod City Hospital. This incident was registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations, and the criminal proceedings has been opened on the grounds of Part 1 of Article 115, Part 2 of Article 15 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (attempted murder); the offender faces up to 15 years in prison. The investigation is ongoing.
