The choir of high school students of Uzhgorod children’s music school № 1 represented Ukraine at the contest of choirs "Queen of the Adriatic-2014" in Cattolica (Rimini, Italy)
From 1 to 5 of May, 2014, the choir of high school students of Uzhgorod children’s music school № 1led by Olena Tymchyk successfully represented Ukraine at the International contest of choirs in Cattolica, Italy.
The choir from Uzhgorod was the only representative of Ukraine among 11 choirs from Italy, Poland, Russia, Belarus. The choir performed for Italian audience not only works of the world classics: B.Galuppi, R.Schumann but also pieces of Ukrainian composers – F.Kolessa and V.Hohenko.
All auditions took place at the Teatro della Regina in Cattolica. The choir from Uzhgorod also took part in the concert in the Cathedral in San Leo.
In addition to daily rehearsals and concerts, the choir went to interesting excursions in Budapest, the Republic of San Marino, Rimini and of course Venice.
