On May 21, 2014, at 14.00, in Mukachevo, at Gorky st., 21, in the building of Mukachevo district state adminstration, in the small meeting room, there will be a meeting of the roundtable on the implementation of the National mechanism of interaction between actors carrying out measures to combat human trafficking.
The project "Implementation of the national mechanism of interaction between actors carrying out measures to combat human trafficking in Transcarpathian region" is being implemented in Transcarpathian region with the support of the International Organization for Migration. The project is implemented by the Transcarpathian public women’s organization (TPWO) "Vesta" in partnership with the Department of Labor and Social Protection of Transcarpathian region.
The aim of the project is to establish the national mechanism of interaction between actors carrying out measures to combat human trafficking in Transcarpathian region. The project will strengthen the capacity of government agencies, police and non-governmental organizations in the region in the detection, identification of victims of human trafficking (VHT), contribute to the quality of their rehabilitation, which will create conditions for the realization of VHTs’ rights in Transcarpathian region.
The meeting of the roundtable will be attended by representatives of Mukachevo district coordination council on family, gender equality, economic development, and the prevention of domestic violence and human trafficking, representatives of the TPWO "Vesta", the Department of Labor and Social Protection of Transcarpathian Regional State Administration carrying out activities in the field of combating human trafficking (according to the Procedure of interaction between actors carrying out measures to combat human trafficking), who will discuss issues of multidisciplinary groups’ activities, their powers, ways of communication, as well as specific cases of identification, provision of status and rehabilitation of VHT, provision of recommendations and formation of best work practices.
The project for improvement of coordination between relevant governmental and non-governmental organizations in Transcarpathia is funded by the European Union, co-financed by the Kingdom of Denmark and implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Transcarpathian public women’s organization "Vesta" in partnership with the Department of Social Protection of Transcarpathian region.
