The shooting of the poetic-political project "In the air" has started in Uzhgorod

Today, Transcarpathian screenwriter and director Vyacheslav Yegorov began the shooting of his previously announced project "In the air".

We wrote about the project, but let's remind that all these events that have been happening in our country recently have "a particular smell." They bring something new to our nation as a whole and to each member of the society. And poets traditionally have been voice of the people. They are the ones who can express in words the unspeakable, something that is "in the air", but not everyone can hear and feel it.

Vyacheslav suggested Transcarpathian poets the following format. Each of them will send one and only one stanza from their oeuvre, chosen at their own discretion. The topic is the recent events in Ukraine. Then Vyacheslav Yegorov will make, so to speak, a "poem" using these stanzas, which the authors themselves at the appointed time will recite on camera, walking the streets and embankments of Uzhgorod. These shootings, which will take place during up to three days, will be combined in a mini-movie. Which will actually capture the current historical moment, thoughts and feelings of society, feelings of everyone of us.

And now the material has been collected. Participating poets and the crew have been brought to the city center and the shooting has began. Currently, it is continuing in the downtown area. And here are some photos from the event made by an Uzhgorod resident Eduard Filimonov. We will continue to keep you informed of the progress of the project.

The filming will last two days - tomorrow and on Friday. The cameraman is a famous photographer Mykola Romanov. The poets, whose lines performed by the authors were filmed today are Irina Harmasiy, Valentyn Kuzan, Mykhailo Fedyshynets, Vika Dorofeeva, Vitalina Kovel, Yulianna Khomenko, Victor Kish, Vasyl Malishka.   Transcarpathians will be able to see and hear the finished product soon, after editing and "fine-tuning" of the final version.
