Who is Yuriy Rakhivsky? Right now, he is being discussed at the meeting in the rectorate of UzhNU. Or rather – at the public hearing for discussion of the candidates for the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region as part of the open competition. The first one to be discussed is Yuriy Rakhivsky who has once headed the regional police. The candidate spoke about his experience and work priorities. Admitted that in recent months he at times was ashamed of his colleagues and "esprit de corps".
Now the candidates is answering questions – regarding personnel policy in districts, combating gambling and so on.Tomorrow and the day after, public hearings will continue. On May 21, the candidate Vasyl Ryabinchak, and on May 22 – Serhiy Sharanych, now the acting regional police chief will report to the public.
The meetings will be held at 17.00 at the rectorate of UzhNU in the hall of the Academic Council
Yuriy Rakhivsky said that he had never been a member of any party, although many times he was offered to run for the deputy of the Regional Council. And also that, in his opinion, in order to deal with criminals, first it is necessary to improve the law enforcement system. Incidentally, this coincides with the opinion of the community – that’s what they asked Rakhivsky: how will he clean up the ranks of the police, which, no secret, have discredited themselves?. Mr. Yuriy believes that the community should take a large part in it: through the control over the police by the Public Council, as well as taking personnel decisions involving representatives of the people.
