About the hero of the revolution in Uzhgorod - Ivan Tehza (PHOTOS)
Employees of the university administration call him the Soul of the Building. Ivan Tehza is the attendant of UzhNU administration, the media center of UzhNU informed.
During the revolutionary events in our city, the gray-haired man never let go of the flag in his hands, leading columns of protesters. He stood in the front row during the storming of the RSA and hung a Ukrainian flag on it. Also, on par with young boys, he would chop wood, carry the tea, look for warm clothes, cheer up everyone. Ivan Tehza is indeed one of the symbols of the revolution in Uzhgorod.
Ivan Tehza is a carpenter, a painter, a hunter, a fisherman, a beekeeper, a poet, a restorer... And also, he is a former boxing champion of Uzhgorod, the best shooter in the army and the man who has the 1st degree in wrestling.
In addition, he is a loving husband, father of two talented daughters and a handyman. He was born into a large peasant family where there were 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
After school, he received the degree of master artist. After that, he worked as a teacher in the village of Kopashnevo, served in the Army. He devoted 30 years of his life to the Art fund. He worked with F. Manailo, A. Kotska, I. Shutyev and others...
He was lucky to meet great people. Today, everyone who works in the rectorate of UzhNU is lucky to know Ivan Tehza. His morning is traditional: he wakes up at 6, listens to the news, gets in an old "Tavria" and drives to work. There, he greets everyone, jokes and always gives flowers.
Uncle Vanya says that he will soon turn 100 - in 26 years. And he does not even think of giving up morning exercises, walking barefoot on snow and his favorite cheese. He likes to recall the early years, as some would say, tough and hungry childhood, which actually sowed the grain of love and appreciation, as well as the ability to enjoy little things and see them in everyday life.
