Transcarpathians at the European Judo Championship (PHOTOS)

June 14-15, in the Slovenian town Celje, there was the European Cup in judo.

Ukraine's team was represented by 25 athletes. Pupils of Uzhgorod sports school number 1 Vladislav Dubrava and Oleksandr Chernyak were also in the team, both competed in under 100 kg weight category.

 In total, 316 judoka from 27 countries competed at the European Cup (25 countries of Europe, Australia and New Zealand).

In the first fight, Vladislav Dibrova defeated a German Felix Kortchals with ippon; in the secong fight with a Russian Shamil Magomedov he won a clear victory with ippon in less than 3 minutes.

In the third fight he defeated a judoka from Switzerland Patrick Mosser and reached the semi-finals.

In the semi-finalm in 2 minutes, he was defeated by the winner of the bronze medal at the World Junior Championship from the Netherlands Mol Tobias. In the bronze final Dibrava again met with a representative of Russia - Khazret Khakurinov. The Russian judoka won in the bitter struggle. Vladislav Dibrova became the 5th.

  Oleksandr Chernyak in the first fight defeated a judoka from Slovenia Andras Spiler; in the second fight he was defeated by an athlete from Austria Christoph Kronberg.

   After the competition, our judokas stayed at the training session for two days.
