On June 25, there was the meeting of the judges of the open competition to create a dramatic work. The jury consisted of representatives of the Transcarpathian organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine, leading actors and specialists of the Regional Theater named after brothers Yuriy-Augustine and Yevhen Sherehiy.
During two and a half months, the literary department of the regional music and drama theater received 14 dramatic works from 8 authors, Vasyl Kobal said.
The winner of the competition is the play by O.Havrosh "A good summer in Paris," which deals with the life and work of the famous Transcarpathian artist Adalbert Erdelyi. This work is recommended to be staged in the Transcarpathian regional music and drama theater in the theatrical season of 2014-2015.
It was also recommended to include to the plan of future productions of Uzhgorod theater the submitted play by V.Shershun "White nigger."
Among children’s works, they also noted the fairy tale-play by V.Kobal "New Year Eve’s adventures" that was recommended to be included to the plan of productions in new theaterical season.
The play by M.Hal (in Russian) was recommended to be submitted to the Transcarpathian Regional Russian Drama Theater (the city of Mukachevo) to decide on its production.
