On May 31, 2014, inspectors of the patrol service of Transcarpathia, at the stationary patrol service post "Nyzhni Vorota", stopped a car BMW-X5, stolen in Italy, driven by a Polish citizen.
On the night of May 30 to 31, the car was still in Italy. The BMW was equipped with a satellite anti-theft system, which at 2.30 am, indormed the owner that his car had been stolen.
Since in the morning, the car was already in Ukraine, representatives of Interpol contacted our police officers and gave them the information about the car.
At 16.00, inspectors of the patrol service of Transcarpathia detained the car at the exit from the region and delivered it to the impound lot. Other circumstances of the matter are being established by the investigation.
