Prosecutors are protecting the legal rights of two sisters to a house in court
Prosecutors of Mizhhirya district, in order to protect the legitimate interests of two sisters of 16 and 18, who were left without parental care, went to court with a claim to recognize their title to the estate, which remained after the death of their grandfather.
According to the Prosecutor of Mizhhirya district Serhiy Zovdun, during the inspection, it was found out that the two sisters, one of whom is already of age, and has formalized the custody of the younger one, had inherited the house after the death of their grandfather. However, the Department of Children's Services of the Mizhhirya District State Administration has not taken measures to register the title to property by way of inheritance, and therefore, documents of title to the building and the land beneath it are currently not available.
The regional prosecutor's office has twice sent orders to the Department of Children's Services of the Mizhhirya DSA to eliminate violations and filed a claim to the court for recognition of the sisters' title to the house, which was estimated by an expert at over 70,000 UAH.
Thus, the prosecutor's office, in order to protect the legitimate rights of the sisters, filed with Mizhhirya district court a claim for recognition of the girls's title for the house that they inherited according to the law.
