Five Transcarpathian journalism students will participate in the Summer School of Journalism in the Vysocina

For 10 years now, the Karl Havlicek Borovsky Summer School of Journalism has been operating in the city of Havlíčkův Brod in the Czech Vysocina region. Its main aim is to become a meeting place for young people from different countries who are familiar with the work of journalists, to help them develop their skills and master the Czech language, as well as promote Czech culture, expand professional contacts with foreign colleagues.
            This year’s anniversary classes of this school will be held in late August. Their main theme will be the media, politics, culture and history of Central Europe in the past, present and future.

For the third time, 5 students of the Journalism Department of Uzhgorod National University were also invited to participate in the Summer School of Journalism. They will have the opportunity to meet with leading journalists of Czech media, diplomats, listen to lectures and undergo practical training sessions on making news for the radio, television, print and online publications, as well as marketing and public relations activities.

Part of the expenses for accommodation and catering of participants from Transcarpathia, during their stay at the Summer School of Journalism, will be covered by Vysocina region within the framework of cooperation between the two regions.
