A Mukachevo resident was sentenced to 6 years in prison for manipulation with drugs

In late May, the trial of the criminal proceeding against a 35-year-old man finished. For sales of psychotropic substances, storage and cultivation of narcotic plants, the resident of Mukachevo was sentenced to 6 years in prison.

Last summer, Mukachevo police officers arrested the 35-year-old man "red-handed", while he was selling a psychotropic substance – methamphetamine. Near the railway station in Mukachevo, the previously convicted man was selling a white powder. In addition, during the search, the policemen found marijuana in the pockets of the suspect. However, those were not all of illegal activities of the man. At home, on the land plot, the man had a mini-plantation for cultivation of cannabis. In total during the search, they seized 27 bushes of the narcotic plant.

The man, a father of two young children, was not working, and was making money in this illegal way. In the past, he had already been criminally charged for drug possession. During the pre-trial investigation and the trial of the criminal proceeding, the suspect did not plead guilty.

However, in court, the prosecutor of Mukachevo Ruslan Galetsky provided unequivocal evidence of his guilt, drew attention to the gravity and high social danger of the crime. Therefore, the court sentenced the resident of Mukachevo to 6 years in prison.
