Transcarpathians in Ivano-Frankivsk studied methodologies for strategic planning of regional development

As informed by the Department of Economic Development and Trade of the RSA, the other day, in Ivano-Frankivsk, there was a joint meeting of the managing committee and the working group to draft the Regional Development Strategy for the region until 2020, which was attended by representatives of the Transcarpathian region - the Deputy Director of the Economic Development and Trade Department V. Papp and the representative of expert public from Transcarpathia O. Luksha.

The event was supported by the EU Project "Support to Regional Development Policy in Ukraine", one of whose tasks is technical assisstance to our country regions in developing Regional development strategies until 2020 based on European best practices.

During the event, they presented the strategic and operational goals, determining how to develop Carpathian region over the next seven years. According to the experts, this experience in strategic planning methodology can be successfully used in the drafting of the Strategy for Regional Development of the Transcarpathian region until 2020.

It should be noted that preliminary work on the development of the draft Strategy has begun in Transcarpathian region. Therefore, we invite everyone who has experience in strategic planning and their own vision of social and economic development of Transcarpathian region, and is ready for active and professional work to contribute to the drafting of the Strategy for the Development of the Transcarpathian region until 2020 and to give their suggestions.
