Last night, July 9, on a segment of the highway "Kyiv-Chop," there was an accident involving the head of Perechyn district court which killed a 33-year-old Transcarpathian. The investigation department of the prosecutor's office in Transcarpathian region registered this fact in the URPI on the grounds of a criminal offense under Part 2 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety and vehicle operation rules by driver that caused the victim's death - punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles up to three years or without it). It was established that the driver of a "Mitsubishi Pajero", moving in the direction of Mukachevo, drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a VAZ-2107. The driver of the VAZ died at the accident scene from the injuries received as a result of the collision. Also during the crash, a car "Hyundai Accent", which was moving after the VAZ, was damaged. The judge and the driver of the "Hyundai Accent" were tested to determine the state of intoxication.    The First Deputy Prosecutor of Transcarpathian region, Uzhgorod interdistrict prosecutor, the chief of Uzhgorod District Police, and the investigative team of Uzhgorod District Police arrived at the scene. Currently, investigative measures are being carried out, all circumstances of the accident are being established.
