A Ukrainian tried to move across the border more than 12 thousand packs of cigarettes
A car "Ford Transit" arrived at the area of customs control at the customs station "Vylok" of the Chop customs. The car was driven by a citizen of Ukraine, he was going to Hungary.
The driver decided to undergo customs control in the "green corridor", and verbally stated that he was not hiding any goods or items. However, in the course of customs control, customs officers decided to move the car from the "green corridor" to the "red corridor".
As a result, in hollow cavities of the vehicle doors, sides of the cabin and in the floor, they found 3,200 packs of cigarettes "Jin Ling" without excise stamps marked "For Duty Free only" and 8,970 packs of "Fest" also without excise stamps. The access to the found cigarettes was difficult and was made possible after the dismantling of the rear door decorative plating, interior paneling, passenger seats and the floor of the car.
Such actions of the citizen of Ukraine, in particular moving goods across the customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control using specially made caches, have signs of violation of customs regulations under Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
Based on Article 511 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, officers of the Chop Customs seized a total of 12,170 packs of tobacco products and the car Ford Transit, made in 2004, costing over 100,000 UAH.
