Transcarpathian border guards detained a Syrian on his way to Scandinavia

Yesterday, border guards of the Chop detachment detained another "seeker of happiness" on the border with Slovakia.

At night, border guards of the "Palad Komarivtsi" department, using thermal imaging, detected an unknown person who was marching toward the border with Slovakia. Wasting no time, border guards arrived at the scene, detained the man and brought him to the unit. The "tourist" told border guards that he was a citizen of Syria, and followed to Norway, to his relatives in search of a better life. He also said that he planned the route to the Scandinavian country using the Google maps service.

The offender was delivered to the unit for identification, clarification of the circumstances of the offense and drafting administrative and procedural documents. The decision on legal liability and his further fate will be taken in court.
