In the year, proclaimed by Ledyda "the year of quality education", four schools were closed in Transcarpathia
In 2013 - 2014 academic year, proclaimed by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksandr Lediyda the year of providing quality educational services, four schools were closed in Transcarpathia under the guise of "optimization". Thus, if in 2012, the number of educational institutions totaled 674 schools, in 2013 - it was 670.
And this year, the regional government plans to close schools too. As stated in the report of the Regional Committee on Economic Reforms for 2013, "for the provision of quality education, measures for optimizing the network of schools with small numbers of students remain relevant. However, the interests of both students and employees are protected in accordance with applicable law."
The situation in the optimization of the educational institutions network was considered at the Board of the RSA on June 26, 2013, following which four schools were closed.
However, the region managed to reduce the number of schools where learning was carried out in two shifts.
