How to change citizenship without changing residence - Transcarpathian method

February 14, a resident of the village of Batyovo in Beregovo district, Transcarpathian region, Gizella Neshte celebrated 100th anniversary.

Without leaving her native village, Mrs. Gizella has been a citizen of five countries, survived two world wars.  All her life she has been working hard for one purpose - to give good education to her two children. "Much can be lost. But nobody can take away from a person what he or she has learned, - Mrs. Gizella believes. - And in order to live to 100 years old, you must constantly be on the move and work, because work keeps the soul inside of a man."

In addition to other greetings and gifts, she received the new passport. It was handed personally by the head of the State Migration Service of Ukraine office in Transcarpathian region Igor Mykhailyshyn, the press service of the office reported. The old document has worn out over many years.

By the way, most Ukrainian long-term residents live in Transcarpathia. Currently, there are more than a thousand persons aged 90 to 100 years in the region.
