Two Transcarpathian employees face up to seven years in prison

The regional prosecutor's office notified two employees of one of the regional companies that they are suspected of having committed a criminal offense under Part 4 of Art. 368-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (bribery of a legal entity's official, regardless of the legal form, committed by prior conspiracy).

It is established that officials of one of the Uzhgorod companies, in order to legalize vehicles imported into Ukraine, in return for money reward, were issuing citizens false certificates of repair for such cars. The employees were detained by regional police officers while receiving almost 3,000 UAH.

The relevant department of the regional prosecutor's office ensures supervision of the observance of laws in the course of preliminary investigation in the said criminal proceeding conducted by the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Office in Transcarpathian region.

Note: sanction 4 of Art. 368 - 3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of three to seven years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years with confiscation of property and with a special forfeiture.
