Shufrich: knowing Lyashko's "preferences", I have never met him face-to-face
Member of the "Opposition bloc" faction Nestor Shufrich considers the statement of the leader of the "Radical Party" Oleg Lyashko "to put it mildly, incorrect."
The relevant comment was issued on Thursday by the press service of the former Party of Regions member.
"The accusations and insults towards members of the "Opposition bloc", many of whom used to be members of the Party of Regions, by Lyashko are at least strange and, to put it mildly, incorrect," - the press service said.
According to Shufrich, "Mr. Lyashko has his own history of relations with the Party of Regions."
"I was involved in some episodes of this history. In particular, in 2012, during the parliamentary election campaign, Lyashko offered his services on running in some constituencies for financial compensation, and asked to support his parliamentary tour, promising to harshly criticize the real opposition leaders," - Shufrich said.
He said that for the Party of Regions "these offers were not interesting and unacceptable, which he was notified of."
"I think that the person, who was in constant contact with the management of the presidential administration and the management of the National Security and Defense Council, should be more restrained in characterizng his colleagues, MPs from the opposition", - the former Party of Regions member says.
"I also would like to say that, knowing Lyashko's "preferences", I have never met him face to face. All our meetings were in front of witnesses" - the press office quoted Shufrich.
As reported at the meeting of the Parliament on Thursday, MP Oleg Lyashko accused his colleague in the parliament from the "Opposition bloc" Nestor Shufrich in an attempt to bribe.
"In June 2012, Nestor Shufrich, holding the post of Deputy Secretary of the National Security Council, offered me $ 3 million for running in Prylutsky constituency against Rudkovsky, with whom he had business conflict. I told him to go to hell and ran in Bakhmatsky constituency and won," - Lyashko said.
A commotion started in the hall of the Parliament.
