Modern technology did not help illegal immigrants get to Slovakia

Measures to combat illegal migration on the border with Slovakia had good results. Yesterday (December 22), border guards of the "Uzhgorod" department detained three persons from the Caucasus.

The information about the presence of men of Caucasian appearance in one of the suburbs of the regional center was received by border guards in advance. Later, at a distance of 500 meters from the Ukrainian-Slovak border, the task force with a dog detained three unknown men.

They told border guards that they were nationals of Georgia, but had no documents with them. They also explained that they had dared to illegal trip to Germany due to the difficult financial situation and lack of work at home. When asked who helped them during the trip, they responded succinctly: "only Google maps".

The offenders were taken to the border guard unit in order to clarify the circumstances of the offense and draw up administrative and procedural documents. The decision on legal liability and further fate of detainees will be taken in court.
