Traditionally, the winter holidays started with the grand illumination of the main Christams tree that graced the central square of Volovets. The green beauty, adorned with colored balls, toys and sequins, attracted around a lot of kids. Employees of the district House of Culture created a festive mood for the audience at the ceremony.
The grand illumination of the Christmas tree was attended by heads of the district and the town.
The District Council Chairman IA Shcherbey congratulated Volovets residents, visitors and all the residents of the district on St. Nicholas Day and lighting of the Christmas tree.
Volovets town head Volodymyr Panasovych joined the congratulations and wished his countrymen happy New Year and Christmas holidays, family welfare and prosperity.
It should also be noted that for the first time in many years, the top of the main district Christmas tree is adorned with the symbol of our country – Trident.
