Illegal migrants from the Atlantic coast were going to Germany

As previously reported, on December 22, border guards of the "Uzhgorod" department arrested three illegal immigrants, natives of Georgia. However, less than a day later, border gurads of the regional center were "visited" by migrants from the African continent.

Two men, who tried to illegally cross the border bypassing the checkpoint "Uzhgorod", were detained by border guards of the said department 600 meters away from the Ukrainian-Slovak border. The offenders told border guards that they came from Gambia, but had no document to confirm their words. They explained that they were going to get to Germany to find work and a better life. Also, the detainees reported that they had planned the route of illegal border crossing using satellite maps from the Internet.

Another "seeker of happiness", a native of Syria, was detained by border guards of the department "Tisa". The man tried to illegally get to Hungary.

All offenders were delivered to the unit. The decision on legal liability and further fate of detainees will be taken in court.
