Every little helps for bulletproof vests for Transcarpathian border guards

This is how volunteer and philanthropic movements in Transcarpathia to help "green berets" fighting in eastern Ukraine can be described. Currently, representatives of two separate border commandants from Chop and Mukachevo detachments in total number of more than 300 soldiers are performing their constitutional and civic duty in the ATO area. And despite the distance of about 1.5 thousand kilometers, they feel the support of not only their families and friends, but also volunteers, sponsors and all the inhabitants of the region.

For over 9 months, Transcarpathian border guards have been guarding the border with Russia, as well as the so-called "buffer zone". Also, "green berets" now have to build up new units in those areas of Luhansk and Donetsk regions controlled by Ukrainian security forces. And border guards appreciate the support that they receive from their native land.

In general, volunteer organizations, enterprises, institutions and individual patrons have provided more than 2,650,000 UAH of financial aid for Transcarpathian border guards!

            More than eighty providers of aid – from ordinary citizens, entrepreneurs, volunteers to charities, organizations, companies and public bodies and local authorities;
