During the Open Day, State Migration Service workers gave advice to almost fifty countrymen

December 20, the Open Day was held in the Main Office of SMS of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region and in all territorial units. Anyone could receive comprehensive information on obtaining administrative services on migration matters from the most experienced specialists of the department.

The head of the Migration Service of the region Igor Mykhailyshyn informed the audience about the features of the procedure for issuing passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad with contactless electronic chip. Incidentally, most questions were about biometric documents. Everyone had a chance to see new equipment for reading biometric data of a person.

An Uzhgorod resident Mr. Ivan asked about the procedure of departure for permanent residence abroad. The head of the emigration sector of the Department of citizenship and registration of citizens from temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine in the region Lyubov Kiyak provided clarification on this procedure and the list of documents required. Overall, during 11 months of this year, the migration service of Transcarpathia have registered 783 departures for permanent residence abroad, it is a third more than that in the last year.

There were also questions about the order of stay of foreigners in Ukraine, administrative services for IDPs.

In general, about fifty people were advised on administrative service on migration matters during the Open Day in the Main Office of the SMS of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region and territorial units.
