A fundamental collection of documents and materials about collectivization in Transcarpathia will be presented in Uzhgorod

Prepared by the editorial board of the regional Book "Rehabilitated by history. Transcarpathian region", the fundamental collection of documents and materials "Collectivization in Transcarpathia: political and administrative measures of forced impact on farmers. 1944-1955", issued by the Ukrainian State Publishing House "Karpaty", refers to the period of the "complete" collectivization in Transcarpathia which remained in the memory of inhabitants of the region as the time of painful changes - the transition from sole to the collective farm system of land management, collective opposition to organization of collective farms and mass arrests of farmers and their isolation in the camps of the Gulag.

The official documents comprising the collection tell about ruined lives and personal tragedies of thousands of Transcarpathians.

The value of this publication for both the restoration of historical justice, and for historical science Transcarpathia  can not be overemphasized.

The presentation of the book "Collectivization in Transcarpathia: political and administrative measures of forced impact on farmers. 1944-1955" will be attended by:

Oleksiy Korsun - the compiler of the book;

Victor Braslavets - the director of the Ukrainian state publishing house "Karpaty";

Boris Kushnir - the chief editor of the Ukrainian state publishing house "Karpaty".
