Transcarpathian is the first. The Right Sector forms the Battalion of Ukrainian Volunteer Corps in the region
Transcarpathian is the first of the reserve battalions of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps in regions. In general, the formation of these units is taking place now throughout Western Ukraine, and core soldiers are actually fighting in the East. Along with this, the work in regions continues - Oleksandr Sachko, the Head of the Right Sector in Transcarpathia said.
"Transcarpathian is number one. There are also Lviv - the second one, the third - Volyn, the fourth - Rivne, the fifth - Ivano-Frankivsk, and the sixth - Ternopil. In total, there will be more than twenty of such reserve battalions. Plus two battalions that are already fighting there, in the East, and that we constantly man up, as well as three training centers."
Now an active work in the field is ongoing. Sasha says: anyone can join the ranks, not only members of the Right Sector. "In general, anyone can join Ukrainian Volunteer Corps. The core is the Right Sector and right nationalist organizations of Ukraine, but it is not a political party, it is not subject to the Right Sector. It is a volunteer military formation, which performs only military tasks."
What is going on now? Currently, the formation of the battalion, training of groups and their dispatch to the ATO area continues."The battalion will be formed only of those people, who have been at the ATO. Now the first group came back home for rotation, guys are taking rest, treatments. And the second group has been dispatched, and here we are preparing men for them."
The manpower of the First Transcarpathian is to be up to five hundred men - Oleksander Sachko said.
As for the territorial defense battalion, which is now on the training ground in Orikhovytsya, the Head of the Right Sector of Transcarpathia refused to give his opinion, saying: "I do not want to say bad things... Well, it's like non-alcoholic beer. You get the comparison..." - Oleksandr Sachko smiles. "In fact, I feel sorry for them. If they really want to fight, they should demand to be dispatched. In fact, it is the only battalion that has not yet been dispatched. They should be ashamed - children are fighting there, 17-19 years old boys, girls are fighting there. And a whole team of healthy men who can fight, who have undergone combat coordination, are sitting on the training range and... Those who have the honor, I think, understand that they should not be there."
