About a dozen of traffic police officers together with the UDAR Youth activists yesterday did another raid. Its main purpose, according to the initiators, is to remind drivers that traffic rules must be followed.

They monitored the pedestrian zone in the center of the city, namely on S.Petofi square.

During the Uzhgorod.in correspondent's stay at the place of raid, they drew up eight reports.

There were times when drivers refused to sign them, saying that they lived nearby or had never noticed the road sign that prohibits car traffic from Pravoslavna and Kyivska embankments (in such cases, the report was signed by witnesses).

The raid lasted over an hour, and probably was not the last one. We hope that these activities of the traffic police, together with reports, will make drivers leave their cars in parking lots and go on on foot, as others do.
