The police are looking for a stolen Kalashnikov

About a dozen of military trucks, that were driving from Chernihiv region to Transcarpathia, on Saturday evening stopped in the village of Symoniv in Goshcha district of Rivne region to refuel the vehicles and to eat. When they went on, one of the soldiers announced that his Kalashnikov was missing. It was not found at the place where they came back in search of the gun, so they reported it to the police. So far the gun has not been found.

According to Rivne prosecutor for supervision over the observance of laws in the military sphere Rostislav Poshyvak, on Sunday, the criminal proceeding was opened against the person, who lost the machine gun, under Part 2 of Art.413 of the Criminal Code (loss or damage of weapons, ammunition, vehicles, logistics items or other military equipment entrusted for official use as a result of violations of their storage rules). The lost gun is being looked for by the police. The soldier allegedly hung his machine gan at the place of stop and forgot about it. When he remebered, he came back to that place, but the machine gun was not there.

The army ask residents of Goshcha district to immediately return the machine gun and promise the award for this.
