The Consul General of Hungary in Beregovo finishes his diplomatic mission in Transcarpathia

As we reported, the Consul General of Hungary in Beregovo Istvan Toth finishes his cadence in Transcarpathia.

On Monday, August 18, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Valeriy Lunchenko met with the Consul General of Hungary in Beregovo István Tóth.

Istvan Toth finishes his work as the Consul General. The head of the region Valeriy Lunchenko thanked the diplomat for fruitful cooperation and expressed hope that relations with Ukraine would continue.

 - We appreciate your professionalism. We hope that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary will give Ukraine the opportunity to work with such experienced diplomats in the future, our countries will maintain these good relations. In Transcarpathia, no doubt, Hungary is and remains an important strategic partner, the member state of the European Union, which helps in the development of economic and cultural industries in our region. 
I am convinced that the situation, which prevails now in the East, will soon be over and Ukraine will approach the European Community. I am sure that Hungary is interested in economically, socially, culturally strong Ukraine. 
In turn, Istvan Toth said that over the past six months there has been a lot of fruitful cooperation between Hungary and Transcarpathia, beneficial for both parties. He also thanked for the treatment of national minorities in the region, including the Hungarian community. The diplomat wished speedy settlement of the conflict situation in the eastern regions.
