In Uzhgorod, the Independence Day will be strong! (Announcement)

On Independence Day, the strongest men will be competing in Uzhgorod.

120 kilograms is the average weight of the competitors at the "Carpathian bear." However, it is not about weight, but about the strength. It will be demonstrated in the center of Uzhgorod on Independence Day.

Srongmen will gather at 14 o’clock, on Fentsyk square (near the Philharmonic).

The Carpathian League of Strong Men is organizing the "Carpathian bear" strongmen show for the 11th time. The program of events includes both traditional and original tasks.

Ivan Grigorovsky, a representative of the Carpathian League of Strong Men, said: "Big heavy guys will be carrying big heavy things. Those are 130 kg suitcases and 300 kg wheels. There will also be deadlift from 330 to 420 kg, maybe this year someone will break the record. Then there will be heavy log lifting, its weight is 160 kg, lifting of a 85 kg dumbbell."

At the "Carpathian bear", there are unique contests, that you will not see at other events.

"This year, we will have a brick holding tournament again. You won’t see it anywhere else in the world. One has to take the bricks and hold them for as long as possible. It is not easy to hold them because they fall apart" – Ivan says. By the way, audience will also be invited to participate in this challenge.

The event in Uzhgorod is usually international. But this year, because of the crisis caused by the events in the country, only Ukrainians agreed to participate.

In particular, the winner of the second stage of the Ukrainian Cup Serhiy Ponomaryov from Kyiv will participate.

Transcarpathian strongmen team consists of seven athelets who represent the region in national and international competitions. However, it is not yet known how many athletes will come to the competition on Fentsyk square: the "Carpathian bear" tournament is open.

Kids are also welcomed at the show – there will be fun contests for them.
