In Transcarpathia, the religious community donated a "ZIL 131" for soldiers in the ATO zone (PHOTOS)
On Friday, August 22, the SUV was sent from Tyachiv district military office to Mukachevo, from where the vehicle will be delivered to the ATO zone.
According to Victor Khripta, the bishop of Christians of Evangelical Faith of Ukraine, the issue of assistance for soldiers in the ATO area was raised at the meeting of the Governor Valeriy Lunchenko with representatives of various religious denominations. Therefore, local churches of the Regional Association organized a fundraiser to buy means of protection and food for soldiers.
After the completion of the fundraising, Victor Khripta addressed to the Regional Military Commissioner, Colonel Ivan Vasyltsyun who said that at present, one the basic needs of the soldiers in the ATO area is vehicles. It was therefore decided to use the money raised for the purchase of the SUV.
- We have found and organized the purchase of a "ZIL 131", which has not yet been used. Then, we performed a maintenance, replaced tires, put new batteries and wiring. Churches of the Regional Association donate this vehicle for the needs of soldiers in the ATO area, - Victor Khripta said.
