At the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, they discussed the information policy

On Tuesday, August 12, there was the meeting with representatives of cable TV providers on the information policy and saturation of cable networks.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the acting head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Andriy Serbaylo. The official noted that now, given the socio-political processes in Ukraine and, in particular, the information war with the Russian Federation, the distribution of information must be treated responsibly. Now, there are a lot of false and misleading information materials that are aimed to destabilize the situation in the country, to influence the minds of citizens, - Andriy Serbaylo said.

In the Transcarpathian region, there are 59 providers of cable TV that serve about 200 thousand subscribers. Representative of the National Council on TV and Radio Ivan Kuzma reminded about a number of Russian TV channels banned in Ukraine.

In turn, the employees of cable TV providers assured that they supported the ban of certain TV channels, noting that instead, the broadcast needs to be filled with new quality information product.
