Valeriy Lunchenko: on the working visit to Kyiv, roads and part-time work (comments)
The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Valeriy Lunchenko reported on the results of the bilateral meeting on advancing a loan to Ukraine from the Hungarian bank for construction and renovation of roads in Transcarpathian region:
- On Friday, during the working visit to Kyiv, I met with representatives of the Hungarian Eximbank. We discussed the loan for renovation and construction of roads in Transcarpathian region. The meeting was attended by the head of the Ukravtodor Oleksandr Malin.
The result of the meeting is that today we have all the chances to implement this ambitious project. Next month, there will be a working trip to Hungary, where, I hope, we will sign a preliminary agreement and we will receive an answer from the Hungarian party - the bank and the government - on the allocation of the loan. Approximately, in late August - early September, we will launch the project.
Valeriy Lunchenko commented on the situation regarding complaints to the head of the RSA about working on positions of the head of the region and of the people's deputy simultaneously, as follows:
- Currently, I am still performing the duties of the Member of Parliament, since the resignation procedure is not completed. My statement is in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. At the next meeting of the committee, it will be considered. The authority may be withdrawn by MPs through voting. Until then, I remain a deputy. Accordingly, I continue to attend meetings and vote. As to whether I violate the law, receiving the salary both as a deputy and as the head of the RSA, I have to tell you that I do not receive the salary of the head of the regional state administration. My salary is accrued in the Parliament, as my employment history book is in the Verkhovna Rada. After I am deprived of the authority of the MP, my employment history book will be in the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, respectively, I will be receiving wages here.
