Uzhgorod picketed the “Zakarpattyaoblenergo” (PHOTOS)

To cancel upfront fees, limits of electricity consumption for households and not to raise tariffs for households – those are main demands of the picket that took place this morning in Onokivtsi. Near the office of the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo."

The meeting is initiated by the organization "Self-help of Transcarpathia" and Uzhgorod entrepreneurs.

Slogans: "Stop the energy racket," "You are killing small business!" and so on. 

It was decided to appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers, the National Commission and the Anti-Monopoly Committee and to the head of the RSA with the demand to review the "energy policy" with respect to such consumers as small and medium-sized businesses and households.

Artem Martynyuk, the Sales Director of the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" JSC, commenting on the situation said that they were willing to cooperate, even to revise tariffs.

Activists gave the management of the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" one week to consider the demands and respond. If there are no concessions and steps towards the community, they are going to block them. And even threaten to leave the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo"… without electricity.
