"Given the uncertain economic situation, advance payments for electricity "strangle" the business in Uzhgorod. This, in turn, leads to closures of enterprises, reducing the number of jobs and revenue to the budget.
Therefore, we demand to stop the shameful practice of collecting advance payments from businesses in our city and to charge only for the actually consumed electricity.
If you refuse to compromise with Uzhgorod residents, we reserve the right to appeal to the regional council and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with a proposal to nationalize your company" – the City Hall reported.
