The historic facade in the center of Uzhgorod is almost restored (PHOTOS)
They only have to restore the stucco on the top of the facade.
March 26, Uzhgorod public was stirred with the news that workers were knocking off stucco from windows and plaster on one of the buildings in the historic district.
The next day, the commission of the City Council came at the site and explained that the repair was needed urgently because the stucco and plaster was falling off on the heads of passers-by.
The owners turned out to have all permits for the repair, including the stucco restoration project.
The project provides for restoration of the main facade of the second floor while preserving the authenticity of the facade, geometry and material of the windows filling (windows are to be restored in their authentic existing form, preserving carving and segmentation according to photos), restoration of decorative elements (window frames, cornices and belts, plaster etc.).
Currently the facade has been re-plastered and window decorations have been completely restored. You can compare it with the third window (on the left), where there is an old stucco.
Currently, as we can see, they only have to restore the stucco, which frames the top of the facade.
