In Transcarpathia, they plan to give out cows
The Advisory Centre "Terra Dei" has launched a new charity project to help Transcarpathian farmers keep cattle, as well as understand the intricacies of cheese making and sell milk with profit.
As the head of the Center Oleksandr Omelchenko told the Novyny Zakarpattya, thanks to the European Commission, the organizers, in addition to practical training in cheese making, will provide large families with 40 cows of the brown Carpathian breed and necessary manufacturing equipment. Thus, another model of support of large families will be tested.
Families with many children, farmers, who will undergo training and prove that they have the knowledge and ability to keep these animals at home, will be able to take part in the program. Starting from May 1, those who want to get a cow can come to the office of "Terra Dei" and write an application...
This is not the only project to support large families, Oleksandr Omelchenko said. "This year we will also launch the project "Green Apple", under which families with many children will receive seedlings of apple trees. This project was made possible by the head of the farm "Konyk" Vasyl Melesh. It is important that for the first time, our families will receive assistance not from Dutch, Germans or Hungarians, but from a local farmer. It means a lot for us. Also Mr. Melesh will help with training and advice at his farm," - the project manager says.
By the way, the "Terra Dei" has many positive experiences: they have developed the program "Green House". As a result, in four districts of the region, there are already 80 greenhouses or 3.2 hectares of land under the film.
